What to request in a CNC machine accuracy report

作者:

Start with the acceptance scope

An accuracy report should identify the machine model, inspection conditions, measuring equipment, environmental notes, and the acceptance standard used for the review.

Check geometry and positioning

Request records for axis positioning, repeatability, straightness, squareness, spindle runout, and other geometry checks relevant to the machine structure and intended work.

Connect records to the workpiece

Geometry data is more useful when the manufacturer explains which workpiece features, tolerances, and setup conditions it supports. Include probing, fixture, tool, and test-cut information where applicable.

Keep the document trail

Final acceptance should connect the inspection records with the machine serial number, packing list, manuals, and installation handover. This gives the buyer a usable record for commissioning and future service discussions.
